What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
As a rock genre, if my magazine ever got big a brand such as Gold Key Media could advertise my magazine, and which such a big population of readers Gold Key Media could increase my readers inevitably and endlessly. Getting advertisement from a distributor who has been around for a while gives my magazine good publicity as the distributor clearly knows what they are on about,
Stylist is an example of a magazine distributed by Gold Key Media, this copy to the left includes a main image feature Kate Moss, which shows that the distributors are professional and can afford higher off magazines.
Gold Key Media would be a great distributed as they supply a range of over 55 magazines within the UK. Distributing my magazine would increase the amount of people reading rock magazines, but also widen the rang of people reading the different magazines distributed by Gold Key Media.
Although there is a lot of rock magazines being sold in retailers, if my magazine was apart of the Gold Key Media range it would also increase the range of their magazines throughout retailers and newspaper stands. Incomes would increase for both companies.
Since many people are interested in rock magazines, I think my product has the potential to do well.
