The Front Cover
This is my final front cover for my rock magazine. The model on here is a strong character; this to me was essential for the rock genre. It portrays that 'John' has power. To make the front cover even stronger I have edited various tattoos onto John using Photoshop Elements. This gave more of a grunge effect to John. Sticking to common conventions of a rock magazine I have used a dark background with a portrait image. Adding a free badge to the magazine made the product more eye catching to the viewer, this gives the magazine an advantage compared to others. Finally I created a bar code in a Publishing document so that it gives the effect of a real magazine. I stuck to a colour scheme using yellow, white and black. The fonts used in this product are 'Anton', 'Tabasgo Poser' although these are different to the fonts I had chosen originally; I felt they suited the magazine better.
